Hi, welcome to Joie Patisserie™, our journey into the world of French Macarons.

The French Macaron is a French pastry that some might think is just a cookie, but it is so much more. The French Macaron requires meticulous measuring of ingredients and practiced experience mixing the batter into a perfect “macaronner.” A pindrop of grease in the meringue prevents it from rising properly; too much sugar makes the meringue too sticky; one stroke of the spatula too many and you end up with a flat, oily, irregular shaped cookie; one stroke too little, you get a puffy, meringue-like cookie that falls over.

Joie Patisserie™ evolved as Selene, Lisa, and Connie, two sisters and three life long friends, got together to perfect the French Macaron and introduce their version of these amazing pastries to the world.

Growing up, we had a lifelong love affair with food.  We have all had other careers, but our love affair with food never wavered; instead it intensified.  It all started with two bags of almond meal and Selene’s search for a recipe using almond meal.  Their inspiration, Pierre Herme, and the French Macaron showed up in an Internet search, and they have been making and tasting French Macarons ever since.  The result, a variety of French Macarons that are light and delicious, and the hallmark of Joie Patisserie™.
